Here Are The Statistics That Form The Basis For This Discussion:Women make up 3/4 of the victims of homicide by an intimate partner.    Women make up about 85% of the victims of non-lethal domestic violence.  Racial and Ethnic trends: Black women and men suffer from the highest rates of domestic violence.  "Black females experienced domestic violence at a rate 35% higher than that of white females, and about 22 times the rate of women of other races.  Black males experienced domestic violence at a rate about 62% higher than that of white males and about 22 times the rate of men of other races."

WITNESSING VIOLENCE BETWEEN ONE’S PARENTS OR CARETAKERS IS THE STRONGEST RISK FACTOR OF TRANSMITTING VIOLENT BEHAVIOR FROM ONE GENERATION TO THE NEXT.
BOYS WHO WITNESS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ARE TWICE AS LIKELY TO ABUSE THEIR OWN PARTNERS AND CHILDREN WHEN THEY BECOME ADULTS.

The church calls this generational sin, but is this generational sin or learned behavior?  Let's talk about it and discuss solutions and ideas that some churches are already doing.  Please join the Live discussion on Sunday, April 26th at 4:00 p.m.
