His big brown 3rd grade eyes looked at me innocently as he said, "all he did was choke her" referring to what happened between Chris Brown and Rihanna.  What is taking place in the African American community that an 8 year old child would minimize the violence of a man choking a woman?  The anger that God warned Cain about which eventually boiled over and led to the first murder, by the first son, of the first family is prevalent in our schools, homes, and churches.  What impact does corporal punishment, domestic violence, and the media have on future and potential violence of children and adults?  Let's discuss the influences that  are pushing the violence in our communities.  Let's  dialogue over ways and means to transform the violence into mediation and conflict resolution.  Blessings!!
