Natalie Shaw, BSE, BA

Natalie is a wife, mother, sister, daughter, and Christian. Her favorite two scriptures are listed below and she incorporates them daily in her work fighting HIV/AIDS.

She has been working at AIDS Resource Center Ohio for four years.  She is the Protecting Our Youth Coordinator and is very passionate about her work.  She teaches parent empowerment classes and provides prevention education classes to youth between the ages of 12-24 in many settings.   Recognizing abstinence is the most effective way to prevent the spread of HIV, she supports and encourages abstinence and monogamy.  Yet, she realisticly counsels those who identify as participating in risky behavior.  She is also a part of the ARC Ohio testing team who test, conduct risk assessment and help those being tested create a plan to reduce their personal risk for HIV infection.

Natalie is currently completing her graduate degree in Counseling. Having worked in public school for 10 years with at risk children and families Natalie holds two undergraduate degrees, in Elementary Education and Psychology respectively.
