askduane  - What role do you feel the church should play in de   |2009-02-01 10:42:44 Jesus taught about the Kingdom of God and Heaven to his disciples and instructed them to do the same. One of the principles of the Kingdom is how to live in the Kingdom of God and Christ. It's a spiritual Kingdom operating in the physical Kingdom i.e. the world or the flesh. Now the spiritual world was first revealed in the physical picture of the Old Testament. Now concerning sexual abuse which was rampant in the time of Moses. The other nations practiced this abomination because there was no law instructing them on what is right or wrong in life. So every imaginations of the heart/mind was evil continuously. So, Jehovah God our Father gave instructions for Moses to teach the children of Israel how to live. There is a whole book dedicated to the male gender of all ages from childhood up. I personally believe by the age of 12 all boys should know what's right and what's wrong about the opposite and same sex. There are thousands of educated Pastors in our churches that are not following the Governor/Counselor the Holy Spirit they are following the people and that's not biblical. If they (Pastors) preach and teach beginning at Moses like Jesus did and said, we wouldn't have as big a sexual abuse problem. Starting with Leviticus 18,19. To be taught to boys early on in the home and church, this must be brought up every Sunday mixed into every sermon. Part of my sharing the Gospel and witnessing when it's a young parent or child I direct them to Leviticus 18,19 for starters, then with the boys i include the book of Proverbs.
